Is this green cable with black top supposed to be attached to anything on drivers side


This is it
My son went mudding afterward the air from the vents only went to defrost I've dealt with this before so I was checking the lines and noticed this hole it sucks when truck is running is there a piece missing thanks Also noticed this green cable with black at the end hanging is this supposed to be like that. Thank you 1998 1500 5.9 4x4

The green line is the vent for the transfer case so yes. That other piece should connect to the line for the vents

The green is how it should be, but I actually believe the second black y-connector is for the cruise controller servo. If you follow that black line back further towards the firewall is where you'll find the vent vacuum line next to the AC Lines that run into the firewall. Check the cruise vacuum cable.

You just need to get vacuum back to your controls somehow, so if you can't find that specific line, just grab vacuum from somewhere else (tap into brake booster?) and your controls will work again.

The vac tap is the one on the intake(second pic) The other line should go to the cruise servo.
