ignition lock removel without key

Default ignition lock removel without key

is it possible to remove the ignition lock cylinder without the key? I need to know cause I bought my 96 without a key and I have a new lock cylinder for it

Could try to hammer in a screwdriver and get it to turn. If not you'll have to have a locksmith make a bump key. That's the only 2 ways I know

Drilling/grinding works too, but with an old lock try wiggling/tensioning with something resembling a key first.

You may also need a replacement switch along with the new cylinder assembly. Check out the following video for the general process.
