Default Help to identify a plug?

I found a plug under the front of my truck near the center but I don’t see anything nearby that it could plug into. I was told that it could be an ambient temperature sensor but my search of that sensor doesn’t look like the connectors match up. I was also told that if that wasn’t plugged in my truck wouldn’t run that well and mine runs just fine. I have attached a picture of it. My truck is a 97 1500 with the 5.9 V8. If anyone can help me that would be greatly appreciated. Thai you

Fog lights probably. I have several deadend plugs as mine's an ST. It seems that all trucks received the same wiring harness but trim levels dictated the accessories attached to said harness.

This. If it's right in the center of the radiator support, facing forward, that's the fog light connector. I am going to guess your truck does not have fogs.

Agree that's the connector for the fog lights (C105). For some obscure reason it has three pins, two sending power to each foglight but only one for a shared ground. All the same gauge so there is nothing to gain from the separate feeds to the lights.
