Hey guys so I've got a 2002 Dodge Cummins and the other night I was driving home and got a rpm fluctuation one time well I went to start the truck up this morning and the truck started really hard which is not normal for this truck I got in it to drive it and I got the fluctuation again and the truck died the only code on the truck is the overboost it has a newer injection pump but no aftermarket lift pump yet I'm currently trying to do the apps sensor reset to see if that is what's causing it any extra steps or tests that I can do would be greatly appreciated my next step is to be testing the apps sensor for voltage

 

Check the lift pump.

 

my 99 did that, I swapped out the boost sensor and fixed the issue.
