Hello I have some questions I am putting a 360 in a 01 ram 1500 that currently has the 318 what do I have to change I bought the truck under the impression that it was the 360 the motor in the truck is seized so I went and got a 360 to replace it to find out that after I picked the truck up and started working on it that it is a 318 the 360 is from a 99 dodge van

 

You need to use the 360 flex plate and change the programming to have the engine operate well. It'll probably run with the 318 programming, just not as intended. Good luck!

 

May have to change the oil pan, and pump pickup as well. Not sure on that.

 

Just pop the 99 pcm from the 5.9 360 in it. Don't worry about programming
