Default 2wd frame vs 4wd frame

hi all.
quick question. I have a 2000 ram 2500 4x4 cummins and the frame is jacked up. found another frame, but it is a 2wd. Anyone know if these are interchangeable without hours of modifications? I have the knowledge, tools and equipment to do it, just don't have the time for frame mods. I can swap the body and drivetrain in a weekend, but if I need to do mods to make a 2wd frame work, I will just wait and find a 4x4 frame. thanks for any input.

No, not an easy swap. Suspension is entirely different, and it would involve a fair bit of cutting/welding to remove the 2wd suspension, and mount the brackets for the 4wd stuff.

well, scratch that then. I haven't even looked at the 2wd frame yet. so much snow I can't get out to it to compare.
thanks for the info!

Yeah, that funny white stuff certainly puts a damper on outside work.

white stuff=snow.
I am a bargain shopper...lol. salvage yards around here are way too high priced. I found this 2wd frame for free, so I thought I would make it work. my frame is ok, I just had to repair the frame where the steering box mounts. figured I might as well swap frames if I can find one cheap, but not something that has to be done.
