Default Alternator question

So my 96 ram 1500 5.9 has the 117 amp alt. I want to put a new one on it but only options I have is 70-79, 90-99 and 120-129 neither specify the 117 amp. Witch one would I need?

I really don't know but I would like to think not. If stock was 117, then get as close to that as you can without going under which is the 120. I wouldn't worry about a fuse.

Yes,if your fuse isn't pushing the same exact amps as your alt than it will eventually cost you an alternator, Make sure your alt fuse is either pushing same amount or higher amps,if the amps r higher than wat your alt pushes its better for it,so if I was you I'd go with a 120amp or the 129

Why would you install a fuse rated higher than the output of your alternator? Seems like a good way to smoke an alternator to me.
