lol its not bad, just take baby steps.. one of the down falls is our trucks dont have knock sensors, so ignition timing has to be crept up easy and keep an eye out for detonation. With tuning you can remove the torque limiters. Even on a bone stock engine while running 91 or 93 octane, with proper ignition advance its a night and day difference.

I'm not good with tuning and no classes near me so I'll leave it to a company, that's a downside lol.

Right now I own a 2006 300C as my daily driver. What kind of tuner do I need for that?

I know with my 2016 Challenger I was going to go with HP tuner's and a new programmable PCM.

I just bought the syked SET tuning suite with handheld for my 5.9 dakota, im looking forward to modifying my superchips tune, i havent down loaded the file yet, but, will this weekend , basically i want to start out by eliminating all torque management, then set the timing curve were it really should be..would like to get it around 34 total advance at WOT...when i do a cam swap, probably marty fletchers utp500, ill need to do some fuel adjustments as well, especially at idle, will be some learning involved ,but,i know what i want to get out of it already...possible turbo in the future if i get enough knowledge of the SET...

I can help you out with learning the program, SCT and SET are set up similar. I wouldnt do 34* right off the bat. Your going want to start off at a max of 28* start off with 180* thermostat and either NGK bkr6e or autolite 3923 spark plugs. If you have any oil induction I.E leaking valve stem seals (like i do) then your timing will be limited on how far you can go up. You can work on the cruising cells too so you can get better MPG as you will be creating more cylinder pressure and not have to be in the throttle as much.

its not avalible for custom tuning so its loaded with generic tunes. If you want to do custom tuning or have someone custom tune you will need to choose a different hand held unit
