Cutting out while driving
I have a 1997 dodge ram 3500 v10 gas 2wd. About a year or I ago it started to cut out while driving down the road. Tach and speed needle drop to 0 then go back up even die sometimes. I have tried to narrow it down to if there is anything specific that i am doing such asd full throttle heavy breaking hitting bumos etc. Both imparticular is happeni g when it cuts out. I have replaced camshaft anf crankshaft position sensors. Ignition modules pcm and idle air control and have done the cel reset for all of them. While it is running better it stills cuts out. Anybody have any insight as to what this could be becase I have 3 mechanics sitting over here scratching ours heads.
Generating an CEL codes?
When you're driving you're saying it cuts out and the speedometer goes to 0 and then back up to the correct speed? Does it happen at idle? Does it sputter or back fire or is it an instant cut off. Loose power?

If you have had mechanics look at it, and they can't figure it out, there probably isn't a code posted. It might take a bit more driving with this issue to get one to show up. Meanwhile, you could do a fuel pressure check, along with a spark plug inspection and see just how long the spark plug wires have been in.
