Default running a slightly smaller/bigger spare ok as long as its on the front axle ?

hey guys im moving from coast to coast and im a little pressed for time on getting a spare for my truck. I wanted to know if as long as I put the spare tire of a slightly different size up front , as longs as its pretty close in size , if it would be fine to drive the truck for awhile like that.

that's not me being lazy but god forbid I get a flat in the desert of AZ/NM and I have to drive it like that for hundreds of miles....

its a huge pita to find a rim that would even fit my truck that's 17" much less tires

running 285/70/17 in case anyones wondering

That's fine, the tires are only about 1" larger in diameter than stock. Don't know if Chrysler ABS are fuzzy about it but you might get the ABS light come on if it detects one wheel turning at a different rate from the other three.

Totally fine. I've been running 285s since 2010 and just had the stock spare along. If you get a flat in the rear, you'll have to swap a front one back there first. Bring a second jack.
