Bad Socket or wiring? I had a 2010 RAM that was only two years old and had to have the passenger side light socket and wiring replaced. It went bad without any reason.

I wired in a new socket and it did the same thing. I am starting to wonder if it's the on off switch? I'm also considering just running the lights through a relay to a toggle switch.

Black wire is ground, and it's a common ground for both headlamps. Ground G100, but, I can't find where that is. Verify continuity to ground on that wire. See what ya get.

Ok I'll check it out after work. I know the violet and white wire is supposed to be for the low beams but since I dont have any power to that wire on either side that it could be the ground somehow?

You don't have power at that wire? That is certainly a problem.... (also, if the high beams work on both sides, that implies the ground is actually good.) Might want to start with the headlight switch, and multi-function switch.

When I check for continuity do I need to unhook the battery. And yes even on the passenger side where everything works there is no power at any time on the violet wire

There is always 12 volts on the black wire. Red wire always has power unless high beams are on.

The black wire is ground...... with everything off, there shoudn't be any voltage there.

have a look at the headlight switch, and it's connector......

I took the truck to the shop today to get tires. I'll check out the switch tomorrow when I get it back. I

took some voltage reading. Not sure if it means anything but the results are in the picture.
