Angry 1997 5.9 surging issues

i have a 97 1500 with a 5.9 gasser
you can go out at any time put the key in it and turn it over and it will fire right up and drive.... however although it does preform better when cold, it starts to surge badly almost like its losing fuel or spark.... i have already put new plugs, wires, o2 sensors and cleaned the cat out. im not quite sure what to do next... i was thinking it might be the coil going bad but am not sure any insight or help would be amazing
