Default Idler Arm specs

Anybody have the specs on the idler arm allowable movement for a 3500 IFS 2WD, it is not in the service manual. One would think "none" but there has to be a little bit.

Actually no, there isn't. It shouldn't move AT ALL. At least, not up and down at any rate.

I take a pair of channel locks and squeeze vertically, then hope for no movement. Bad rod and idler bar ends can cause a wheel shimmy. Especially when you drive over the railroad tracks at a crossing.

Most part #s will cross reference. I line MEVOTECH cheap and durable. I use them on my 2500
