Default A/C compressor replacement help

Hello! I have an '01 5.2L Ram. Unfortunately the A/C compressor is locked up. The shop I usually go to estimated over $1000 in total repair cost. On the invoice there was only the ac compressor itself, and a filter. The man at the shop told me that it would only take one hour of labor. So, I want to do this repair myself, as a 19 year old guy I don't have 1000+ in my back pocket. I see a lot of kits that'll fit my truck at around $120-$200. Would those suffice or are those cheap. In any case, I would need some A/C compressor recommendations. Links, brands, parts stores, anything would help me. I just need to be pointed in the right direction and know what parts to buy. Installing seems easy enough, but is there anything I need to know before hand? If not, I'm just gonna take the old one off, slap the new one on there, but the recommended refriderant oil, and then use A/C pro to recharge it. All help is appreciated! Thanks!

I like this brand and kit:

I do recommend having a shop refill it as you need a certain amount of oil and refrigerate in the system.

The system should be evacuated before installing freon. Not sure how much freon is in those cans either. Might be better to take it to a shop and get them to do it(evacuate and fill).

so do you think I'll be able to do the install myself, then have the shop do the evacuate and add freon?

Absolutely as long as you have common hand tools
