I am wondering if anyone has access to info on build sheets? I need a build sheet or a way to find out what my truck was equipped with originally from the factory. I especially would like to know what axles, tranny, transfer case, etc that came with it. I would LOVE to be able to get a copy of the factory build sheet that includes everything that was spec'ed for my 1994 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT 4x4 as ordered. I found a sticker under the hood that lists a few (mostly three digit or letter) codes but the designations that are given do not match the info I was able to find for the options offered on that particular year and model??? The truck appears to have every option except power seats. It appears that my truck has a factory installed 4 inch lift. The VIN number is 1B7HF16Z8RS543322. It has a 5.9 (360 cubic inch) engine, and a four speed automatic overdrive tranny. I believe that it has 3.55 gears but I am not positive. I am also interested in an aftermarket chip or PCM. The truck runs good but it could use a little more horsepower. Anyone with info that can help me would be greatly appreciated. Please e-mail me at USMale6076@aol.com or post a reply here. run a search on the 2nd gen forum for "buildsheet" get your ENTIRE VIN number and research the threads that come up from the search... utilizing the search in this or any of these forums can be aVERY usefull tool for learning ALOT about your truck and how to fix common problems from common posts.. the search link is above in the link menu...

I forgot to ask one more important question. You mentioned to get my truck's COMPLETE VIN number? I thought that I listed it in my post? That is all that is there both on the dashboard (through the windshield) as well as what is listed on the door frame? Of course there is the month, day, and hour listing but that is all that I am aware of. What else, and where else, should I look? Thanks again, and be safe.

Just fill out that form he linked you. I think it actually only needs the last 8 digits of the VIN. Thats the VIN on the dash, you can see it from outside through the windshield!

Or, you can swing by your local dodge dealership and ask the parts counter guy to print one out for ya. Only takes 5 minutes.

yea .. they can do that... my stealership tried to charge me 25 bux for one... i damn near shat myself.. walked out and drove across the county to the other stealership and they printed me out one for free...this was for the wifes neon.. i got one for my ram from the above mentioned website
