Was it another injector code? Or just a misfire??

If I let it run long enough, or don't clear the codes between testing, it will throw misfire codes P0305 and P0307.
But the P0205 and P0207 come up first. Only the very first time was P0308 there, but it could have been a stored code that hadn't tripped the CEL.
I kind of figured I needed to get the injector circuit issue cleared before i "worried" about the misfires.
The wires and plugs look ok. I'm getting spark on all 4 plugs on that side of the engine.
5 and 7 were slightly wet with gas when i took them out. I might activate cylinder 5's injector with the plug out to see if it sprays or streams.

Wonder if those two are stuck open.... or gunked up with something.... but, you would think that swapping them out would have solved that...... if the ground wire is.... grounded.... somewhere, aside from the PCM, that may account for the codes.

2nd generation Dodge Ram 1500 5.9L magnum (gas) P0205 P0207 codes running rough and not idling.

Do yourself a favor and CHECK THE VALVE SPRINGS before you go tearing into your wiring harness(es) and replacing a bunch of parts.
In my case it was the exhaust valve on cylinder #7.

While I don't truly know why this would cause 2 fuel injector codes, my guess is that the cylinder pressure is still high when it's trying to pulse fuel and the fuel injector is somehow electrically sensitive to it, which is picked up by the PCM as some kind of injector or wiring issue.

I want to thank all of you on this forum and on the many other forums and video sites that helped me troubleshoot this problem.
Hopefully if you're like me and at your wits end getting those 2 codes, this will give you a shortcut and save you some hassles.

That's a new one for me. Is the rod bent or a bad lifter?

No it just seems the spring broke giving enough slack to let the rocker to lean forward enough to let the pushrod slip past, gently holding in place.

I don't think i heard it actually break. I had just driven 100 miles on the highway and parked it the night before. There wasn't any sign of a problem at that point and the next morning it just started running poorly and throwing those codes. No noise other than the usual sounds an engine makes when it's misfiring.
Very similar to when a TPS goes bad...

It was in my hand. I had to go grab my phone to take a picture and i didn't want to risk it falling down somewhere while i was in there.
Good eye.
