Default 98 ram 1500 5.7 auto 4x4 too much gas

1998 ram 1500 5.7 auto 4x4 is injecting too much gas into system Oil turns black driving about a week and smells of gasoline anyone know why? Charged IAC and TPS. Previous owner young kid said changed to bigger injectors before I bought truck. Drove home about 35 miles and used about two qts oil and smoked like crazy. Ran really kickbutt though. Changed oil and filter and black in a week. Bought another 360 and unhooked top end and getting ready to remove motor from trans n mounts and rest of bottom stuff. Haven't checked o2 sensor and know it runs full rich if unable to detect o2 data. Any help appreciated and ty

First off oil turning black is nothing bad, that's it doing is job. Second no matter how big the injectors the computer will still spray the factory programmed fuel. Third you using oil is rings or your plenum. It's also a 5.9

Those "bigger injectors" would be my #1 suspect. They might be leaking, or have so much flow that even at minimum fuel trim there's still too much fuel going in. See what the O2 sensors are telling you. Some more info here https://www.pavementsucks.com/thread...jectors.84231/
