Default summit exauset

I just got this kit for my birthday and I just thought that i would show you who havent seen it it should be plenty loud but i'm going to replace the turbo muffler with a flomaster 40 after christmas. overall it's a very nice kit and the pipes all came in good shape. I was woundering if I would gain any power? I already have a split kit similar but it's all 2.25 and it's not mandrel bent and it has a glass pack thats just a straight thru pipe now. I should be done putting it on by tomarow.

Well, the link pulled up a baseball hat. But I don't think you're going to use that for an exhaust![sm=icon_quiet.gif]

I own a 98 Ram, 5.9 gas and have the Summit system installed. I used the muffler that came with the kit and its worked ok, but I'm not impressed with the rustproofing. If I keep the truck after this christmas, I'll be replacing it with the Flowmaster.

That said, as for power, it seems to add a bit. But it isn't too noticable without wide open, hair on fire, pedal to floor, punching it. And yes, the sound is quite nice as well.

No big deal about the link. Like I said, I knew which kit you had because I put one on my hooptie. I was only giving you my experiences with the exhaust setup. For the money, it's worth it. Just don't expect a very noticable increase in performance. Then again, I live at 6500 feet and most performance mods I've done don't really show themselves until I get to a lower altitude.

I bought the same ones and put them on. I had to buy Chrome tips to make it look sweet but it sounds great and i live in the rocky mountains so i could tell much of a power gain.
