Thanks everyone, the problem has been solved.
I decided to take it to an auto electric place and turns out the new brake light switch was bad. He installed another one and they worked.
As for the new 3rd brake light not working, turns out it was also broken.
Since then I got a new LED 3rd brake light and it works.
Might be posting a thread at some point on how to wire a resistor since the cargo light part stays on indefinitely so I had to disconnect the wire for that.
