If it's not the normal black/brown color around the magnet or on the bottom of the pan you will have issues. If it's actual metal shavings, even plastic, it will work it's way into the valve body and start making the valves stick. If it gets into the rest of the transmission it could make small slices in the rubber o-rings throughout the trans. If it gets into the bearings it could start scoring them. If you can turn a wrench you can rebuild it cheaper.

 

I don't remember the exact colors but I know there was grey sludge and not all of it was on the 🧲. Gonna drop the pan again this weekend and see what's up. I loosened up the TV cable a hair and it's working great so far.
