On my 99 1500 5.2 this line comes through the firewall near the top AC line. It isn't connected to anything, but clearly should be. I previously posted pictures of what I thought it connected to, was assured that the pieces go together, but now I'm unsure. I cut the end of the cone shaped piece, in order the have a clean, flat end to splice with the line. When I did this, I've discovered that there's not a hole in the end of the cone shaped piece. I've attached pictures of the cone shaped piece, the line coming from the firewall, and the vacuum diagram(as well as a zoomed in picture of what I believe is the cone shaped piece).
The last picture is a zoomed in photo of the inside of the cone shaped piece. Looks like the end of the vacuum line from the other picture. If that's the case, I should be able to poke a hole through the end and reattach the hose. Am I right?
I don't want to poke a hole in the piece if it's not supposed to be there. I can't see any other place for the line to go, so I suppose it has to go to the cone shaped piece. I just want to be sure before I mess up.

Vacuum lines shouldn't be plugged up like that.... where does that one supposedly go?
In the images below, you'll see that the vacuum line comes off of the intake, below the PCV hose, goes into a splitter fitting, then into a T-fitting, into another T-fitting, and toward the firewall. The 3rd and 4th pictures show the line that comes through the firewall near the top ac accumulator line. The 5th picture is of the deconstructed piece, with what a check valve in the middle. It is my belief that the cone-shaped piece is simply a connector, intended to connect the check valve with the line coming through the firewall. There was something inside the cone-shaped piece plugging the hole in the small end of it. In the original post, I shared a zoomed in picture of the inside of the cone-shaped piece, showing what appears to be the end of a vacuum hose. It looks very close to the size of the line coming through the firewall. If I'm correct in my thinking, I can make a hole in the small end of the cone-shaped piece and connect it to the vacuum line coming through the firewall.
