Cannot remove pitman arm

Cannot remove pitman arm
So I have the pitman arm completely off except for where it goes around the splines to the steering box. I have rented the puller from auto zone. I hooked up the puller and couldn’t get it to go by hand or with an electric impact. The puller started the bend with the impact. Does anyone have an idea of how I can remove this?

Soak it in PB Blaster or a penetrate of your flavor for a few hours, a good day is best. Spray it above the arm on the splines so the penetrate can work it's way down the splines inside the arm Re soak every few hours. Bang on it with a hammer as you're trying to pull it off. If that doesn't work, bring on the heat torch. Heat up the arm around the splines, bang it with a hammer as you're using your gun and puller and that should pop free.

get a better puller from someone - if you're bending the puller, it's not adequate... lots of times the cheaper pullers are made from crap metal. you need something made from strong forged or tempered steel...
I wouldn't use heat... I would try tapping on the sides near the splines, probably with an air hammer for a bit along with pb plaster or transmission fluid / acetone.

Hit it with a hammer as your pulling it off. And there's a chance the electric impact is not adequate. Those cheap autozone pullers bend when you use hand tools, I found that out pretty quickly.
I tend to tighten it up nice and tight and give it a good couple of good smacks on the bolt of the puller(bad to do if you own the tool, but autozone will take it back even damaged) then tighten it back up and repeat till it pops off, it's not fun to do and takes time
