Default Losing a quart of oil every hour- no leaks or smoke

I am at my wits end with this.

I have been losing a lot of oil in the past two weeks, and I have had low oil pressure at idle for about a month. There are no leaks that could make me lose this much oil (most leaks are old anyway), and I am not seeing any smoke.

This is what I have recently replaced:
Valve cover gaskets
intake manifold gaskets
plenum gasket
and a lot of other stuff not related to the oil.

i have no idea where my oil could be going. First I thought it was the intake/plenum gaskets, but when I replaced them the plenum only had a little bit of oil baked on it (not fresh). The inside of the engine looked clean enough, not perfect but it wasn’t sludgy.

I have had a mechanic check the whole truck out, and he found nothing that I didn’t find and mention in this post already. The only other thing I guess I should also mention is that I’ve been beating on this thing hard and taking it mudding almost daily for the past two months, but its previous 18 years of life have been 95% highway miles.

where could my oil be going?? Could it be burning it without smoking at all? I have another 5.2 with 90k on it so a swap would be no problem if you guys think I should give up on it. Thanks

It absolutely can burn oil without smoking. Check your compression. You'll most likely have your answer.
