So I accidentally sparked a arc on the back of the alternator on the two small points were the wires connect. As I went to leave the engine light came on and the truck went into limp mode. Two codes have came up P0573 and p1765. All fuses look good and I have taken the alternator to two different places to be tested. The alternator is fine. I'm thinking it might be the ecm but I do not know. Thanks

 

Trans isn't getting 12 volts, and the first code is about the brake switch..... If the alternator is charging the battery, then yes, it's fine. You have problems elsewhere. Maybe you popped a fuse somewhere.
