I have a 1999 Ram 1500 4x4. The block is cracked. I want to swap the engine in the truck. Is it possible to do a 5.7 hemi swap. What would I need, and would i have to swap the transmission as well. Or should I do a 5.2 318 block with 5.9 heads.
That said, you *can* drop a Hemi in there.... but, not a project to be undertaken lightly. A LOT changed over the years..... Engine, trans, electronics, PCM, drive by wire..... etc.
