Default 2001 Ram 2500 5.9 no start

When I turn the key, dash Lights come on but no click no crank. Battery is at full power. There is power to the solenoid from the battery. When you turn the key there is no power to the S terminal on the solenoid. Connected 2 larger solenoid terminals with a screwdriver and turn the key still no start. I think there’s a neutral safety switch down by the trans linkage. Haven’t tested that. Actually not sure how to test it. Anything else I should be looking for?

Forgot to mention I switched similar looking relays in the under the hood fusebox just to make sure it wasn’t the ignition relay. Plus I can hear the relay click once when starting.

Found some sort of sensor - possibly neutral safety switch on the transmission, near the linkage- fell into pieces when I touched it. Pretty sure that’s the no start issue. I don’t know how to get it out of the transmission— so I’m having it towed to a local garage so they can fix it.

It should just unscrew. Should......

And yes, I do believe that is indeed the problem.
