Steering slop
Hey all
does anyone know how i would be able to tighten up my steering.i Have all new front end and alignment after i got my 33's. I switched to dual bds steering stabilizer shocks. I also have the rock solid ram steering bushing. I did replace the steering box to a re man for now. The redhead box just cost way to much for me to ship to canada after the exchange rate. Ive seen that dodge off road makes a plate that goes around pitman arm , has anyone had success with those? And is there directions how to adjust your steering box? Kinda nervous messing with it cause the play is livable but id like it to be tighter
cheers

Second the steering box Stabilizers I never had any luck with them.
Upgrade to the T steering and get a Redhead Box (although some members here had problems with them)
All new front end? Trackbar too? If so, what brand? I had a junk chinese one that eventually broke in half, then I had a Luke's linked original, but when I went full custom unit I've never had such a precise steering on my truck! No death wobble or anything. And that's with reman box that has seen miles, and lower original control arms that have been beaten with rocks.
And I don't even have the steering stabilazer. The way I see it, if there's a problem with steering like death wobble, first thing is to remove the stabilazer and fix the actual problem! Only use for the stabilazer is to keep the steering wheel beating your fingers when you hit the curb or a rock. It's not suppose to smooth out the wobble or shakes.

BDS Steering Stabilizers are useless, throw them away. The only steering stabilizer that actuslly works is Carli or Thuren even the 03 and up Ram ones are decent.

Ditto to everything here. T steer helps but isn't a cure-all. Two things that are would be 1) Redhead box 2) any better track bar design. You'll just have to pony up. Took me over ten years to break down and get the Redhead and I still got a bad one initially. Once I got the second one in the steering tightened right up. It's not perfect and never will be. Too many variables. But it's good enough. Just be prepared for building some forearm muscles steering the Redhead.

I do have a new trackbar but ya its a cheap one. I plan on getting a nicer one eventually. Ive heard you dont need an adjustable one if you only have a levelling kit. I didnt know the track bar took on a huge role in sterring . Any good brands i should look at? Ive heard of thuren being good

What track bar do you recommend? I was going to look at red head but when i was rebuilding the front end i couldnt consider spending over 1000 after shipping and exchange rate. Maybe one day
