Default Transmission bucks

Hello. I have a 2001 Dodge ram 1500 with a 5.9L Magnum. Was needing some help on this one. While im driving my transmission does this bucking/jerking thing. Especially when im just barely giving it gas. It'll buck.. I noticed when im in 4th gear/ overdrive and the rpms are down and I try to pick up speed gradually it'll buck. But if I give it a good mount of gas it don't buck.. need help on this. What would be the issue. Thought about changing the fluid and filter right along with the governor solenoid and transistor.. is anybody else's having this issue..

Are you sure it's the trans? Sounds more like an engine miss.

Im pretty sure it's from the tranny.. just the other day I was doing about 40, to 45 mph. And I was giving it steady gas. And it jerked bc i started to go up an incline and then it popped into a lower gear and that is when the check engine light came on. When had that checked but there was no codes showing. So I have no idea what is going on.

Not necessarily. I had a dead miss on one cylinder, the plug wire was burnt in half, and the PCM never set a code.....

At 40-45 mph, the trans will shift into overdrive. At that point, if you have any engine performance issues, they will be instantly magnified. On my 96, I had a miss on one or two cylinders, and when the trans hit O/D, it felt like the truck was going to shake itself apart. Dropping out of O/D, the shaking instantly stopped. I fixed the miss, and it was smooth after that.

When is the last time you did a tune up?

I would check the computer for any stored codes.

The truck has a slight miss to it. When it's idling. But other then that the engine runs pretty good
