Default BRAKE and ABS lights on

The Emergency brake light and the ABS light are staying on. My emergency brake is released, but the light is still staying on. Is there a connection between the two lights when on together?

Sounds line the speed sensor on your rear diff needs to be replaces!

Turn the ignition to 0n-off-on-off-on (without starting it) and see what codes you get.

I just had this happen on my truck, back in the summer. It is the wheel speed sensor. The abs system can't determine how fast the truck is going, so it can't determine when, or if, or for how long to engage the anti-lock.
