Default Temp **** acts like on/off for heat

My 2001's temperature **** for the heater works in the sense that you can get hot and cold air, but there is no in-between as far as temperature. It's either cold or hot. It'd be nice to have 'warm' air instead of full heat all the time

Any info on this issue would be appreciated, thanks

Likely the coupler between the little motor, and the blend door is cracked, so, you move the door a bit, and the breeze slaps it shut...... Check out Heater Treater.

HeyYou, I don’t mean to hijack this thread, but the heater treater says it’s for 95-02 Ram.
I’ve got a 98, just overhauled the heater box... it doesn’t have that blend door motor... the blend door is cable operated.

The little motor came about in 00, or 01.... up to 99, still had the cable. No idea why the parts places listed it for older trucks that never had it.
