Default Crank seal leaks "BAD"

I bought a 01 1500 about 5 years ago and have been fixing it ever since. I just finished rebuilding the hole front end wheel hub too wheel hub and while doing this I found oil dripping steady from the bottom of the crank pulley, could this just be a dryed out seal or is this a way worse problem? And how hard is it to change the seal if that is just that simple.

Likely just the seal. However, there may also be a groove worn into the sealing surface of the balancer. Only way to know for sure is to pull it, and look. Neither part is really expensive, only special tool you need is the puller for the balancer. Could probably do the job in under an hour.
