Default 2wd grinding

So I recently had a transfer case chain stretch and was slipping bad so I replaced the tcase. This got rid of most of the grinding and it usually accelerates fine with no problems. The problem that I am having now is sometimes when I am making a turn especially under acceleration I’ll get a quick grind until I let off the gas. It will also do this same grind if I accelerate too hard from a slow speed. I also think l lost 4wd as I can’t get it to buck when making a tight turn in 4wd. It doesn’t sound like tranny but it does sound like it’s coming from underneath the cab/the front end of the vehicle. Is there a chance that my actuator is bad and the truck is slipping between 2 and 4wd while I am driving? The light still comes on when I put it in 4wd so I don’t think that there is a vacuum leak. Any ideas on what’s wrong?

If the 4WDc light comes on the actuator is moving the collar.
