Default Shift linkage

Hey guys
I finished dropping and reinstalling my valve body in the trans. Had a nice fighting match with the shift linkage that connects to the top of the valve body and now I’m struggling to put it back on. The bottom portion doesn’t seem to want to slip back on and it’s difficult the get some grip to pry it back down.

can someone send me a pic of their linkage so I know how it’s supposed to look. I should of took a photo

ok i noticed when i put the valve body back in that the notch from the valve body wasn't in the ball of the neutral safety switch.
i'm assuming thats a problem? Also if the trucks in park, whats the orientation of the park rod on the notches, i think i installed it back up all the way at the top
hope that makes sense

never mind got it all back together.
took for a drive it was kinda shifting odd. And the column shifter was a little off.

assuming maybe I need to adjust something on top of trans linkage or the tv cable
