Why not? Back in the OBDI days, there really wasn't much to them.

According to my books they did offer the "Performance computer" in 95 but a TSB that later came out was issued to replace the computer with a standard one, due to problems. Then after that toy couldn't buy a performance computer for a RAM. Now the TSB was only for 95 RAMs with that "R/T" computer. But if you search those part numbers and call the companies that say they have them, they say it won't fit a Ram

I suspect that it had more to do with the early engines (and the later ones as well....) tendency toward spark knock. There were a couple TSBs on that, and on the 96 and later models, dodges answer was the Death Flash..... Dialing back timing in a major way.

Might be, with the world ending (CORVID-19), the lack of TP, and this weird weather PA is getting I don't know anything anymore

It has worked in my truck for years. No issues.

I tried recording the noise last night. You really can't hear it in the recording; just engine noise. I think the mic on the phone is too cheap as its easy to hear with my ears.
I plan on pulling the T-case output case to see if the bearing retainer snap ring is broken or loose. I'm told that can create this noise under load.

Default Think I found the problem...

Broken C-Clip on the output shaft of the transfer case. It sure sounded like a gear in the tranny. I hope to fix it this weekend.
Figures it would be one of the 3 items I did not rebuild.

You want to get "The Transfer Case Saver". It replaces that clip with a collar, that is MUCH more likely to stay in place.

Yep. I ordered the "Sonnex" version last night. It's a little cheaper and I might be out of work next week.
I plan to open the case Sat to see if there is more exstensive damage.
