Default Cheap Steering Cure!

Many of you have the loose steering or wobly steering. "These babies like to wander" I think somebody on here said once

Those track bar kits are out there but they can get really pricy. In the January issue of 4 Wheel & Off Road magazine theres a cheap fix they feature for our beasts. Theres a repair kit from Johnnie Laucus for only $66!

I'm thinking I might have to get one of these

This does seem to be kind of a temp. fix. It is a "repair" kit so it doesn't eliminate the problem like a whole new track bar assymbly would I think.

i have seen these before, some discussion on Pavement Sucks about the reliabilty factor (will it fall apart) as for me and of course just speaking for myself, If I put a new Mopar/Moog trackbar on and it falls apart, heaven forbid causing any harm to anyone or myself, i have someone to fall back on, however difficult it may be, I doubt If Luke's little garage will be able to handle my lawsuit. When it comes to steering, I wouldn't tinker with something that says Patent Pending

I picked up my new trackbar at Advanced Auto for 156.00, worth the money spent

It was the best one I could get it was the HD one, wasnt an OEM part, I am almost wanting to say it was made by Warner or Moog, but I cant remember, but Autozone sells the OEM version so stay away from Autozone, I got this from Advanced Auto and if I can pull up my receipt I will let you know

I have lukes Link on my truck and I love it. It is not a temp fix but a rebuildable solution to the trackbar wearing out. You can adjust this one for a long time then when it wears down you can get new guts and rebuild again. I was quite impressed with the quality and the reasonable price. It is not an upgrade but for most of us who don't do alot of offroad driving it is a good fix.

Steve
