Default Oil in spark plug well

Hello,

I am new to working on vehicles, and my 98 dodge ram. 5.2L V8 318 is having some issues running. I've experienced a dramatic loss in power. I did a compression test and had good compression. All within spec. But I noticed that there was oil in one of the spark plug wells. My question is what could be causing this, and how can I fix it?

Any insight is appreciated. Thank you.

Valve cover gasket is leaking and it's it's running down into the spark plug area.

Thank you, that's what I thought the issue was, but I wasn't sure if there was an underlying issue that could be resulting that as well.
