does anyone know how to repair nylon fuel line and connector that goes from the fuel pump inlet to steel line at frame? the line got twisted and kinked up a bit while trying to get quick connector off. can it still be used after kink is straightened out or should it be replaced? does anyone know what size the connector and nylon line is? or if dorman makes a fuel line/connector repair kit and what the kit# is.

You can save the end by using a heat gun and heating up the nylon line, then pull the end out. No you have to replace the hose as once nylon kinks it retains the link. Don't remember the sizes. Dorman makes a nylon fuel line repair kit but it's over $200. Napa sells the line and fittings.

 

Yea, Dont know if any of you actually tried one of them before but it's a pita! You are supposed to put the line in HOT water to soften it up so you can work with it. I had it in boiling hot water and still kinked. Just got regular fuel line hose and called it a day.

 

jobbers sell plastic to plastic fuel line unions and plastic to steel unions. cut out the kinked section and replace it with either plastic or steel line.

 

I used a heat gun and a brake line flare tool (the holder) and ran all new lines on my truck.
