Default Detroit Axle Products

Anyone ever used “Detroit Axle” front end products. From what I can tell it’s hand welded Chinese vs Moog which is robot welded Taiwan products. Just curious what life folks have gotten out their kits. Guessing the bushings are pretty garbage quality.

If you never heard of the brand before stay away. With a little googling...

https://www.detroitaxle.com/about/
" Where is Detroit axle parts made?
All of our suspension parts are a Detroit Axle Brand that is manufactured at a facility that we oversee in China.Dec 20, 2015"
There is your answer!

Hate to burst your bubble fellas, but there's nothing wrong with Detroit axle products. I go to them on a regular basis. Just rebuilt the entire front end on my 96 ram sport with their products. I've done wheel bearings on probably 30 different vehicles using their hub assemblies. Haven't had a single issue. It's better quality than ¾ the crap you find at rock auto, and everything's got a warranty

I think it's bit of misrepresentation, With a name like "Detroit axle products" one would THINK the parts would be made in Detroit. A lot of parts are made in china, Differentiating what is good and what is junk is the issue. Just because it has a warranty doesn't mean much if you have to replaced the part again(second time). You have to do your research on ANY part you buy now a days.

I have a pair of the Detroit Axle wheel bearings on my '96 Ram 2500 4x4 that I installed several years ago. No issues with them to-date.

I've used Detroit Axle products on several vehicles over the years. I've never had a problem with anything and the one time I had to return something, they took it back with no complaint. A lot of Chinese companies use names that look American. Chicago Pneumatic is the House brand of Harbor Freight. There are plenty of others.
