Will tire rods and ball joints from a 1500 work on a 01 Dakota both are 2wd

 

I doubt it.

 

Easy to check. Go to your favorite auto parts web site and look up those parts for each year vehicle. If the part numbers match up between the two different vehicles, you will have your answers. Being that the Dakota is a lighter truck than the 1500 and not as wide, it would logically seem that the parts may be different, but its worth checking if you want to know for sure.

 

Tie rods won't as it's a different steering setup
