Doesn't start brake switch?

Default Doesn't start brake switch?

Hi everyone i have a problem with my 2nd gen ram 5.2liter v8.
so it started out as just no brake light so i checkt the switch if it wasnt working correctly (it is busted and is getting realy hot so i ordered a new one but i takes a few days to get here because i am the Netherlands so..) but here is the problem when i tried to start it afterwards it just crancks and gives a little bit of backfire just litle ones but it doesn't start up could this have anything to do whit the switch i just cant figure it out?

Nope, brake light switch doesn't have nothing to do with the starting. Probably just a coincidence that it happened now. Getting any codes? Fuel pressure?

Assuming you can hear the fuel pump have you put a gauge in there to see what kind of pressure you have?

If it cranks that should eliminate the Neutral Safety switch or the clutch sensor. Assuming you also checked the plug wires for damage?
