Default A/C popping fuse

Hey there all my favorite dodge folks I have a problem my 2000 dodge ram 2500 5.9L gas jobber is popping the 10 amp fuse when I jumper the plug by the a/c accumulator to check if my pump clutch is working I'm thinking I'm low on freon so I thought I'd check that first since the a/c hasn't been working since I got it. fyi the truck was running with a/c on when did the test

There is a short in that circuit somewhere...... Wire grounding out, or some such. Follow the harness end to end, as much as you can.... and see if something is worn thru somewhere.

My Ram 1500 was doing that I pulled the AC compressor off my old dakota threw it on there and it fixed the problem something was shorted I tested it by unplugging the plug to the compressor and sticking a light With 2 wires in the plug. Then jump the pressure switch with a jump wire. It would light up the light and not blow the fuse. Plug the compressor in and pop.
