whistle noise when cold..

yeah that was my problem when i got mine. well, it was more that the air box wasnt sitting flat against the throttle body. just a very small spot towards the firewall had a little gap.

I had the same problem On a 92 dodge it turned out to be the clutch fan.Only howled when cold but after driving for alittle while it goes away

Hey all, I just wanted to update you. I checked the water pump bearings and they are good, I then checked the TB hat gasket and it was in place and in good condition. I am now back to square one, any takers? Thanks again!

It's normal as in its a commom problem, or it's normal theres not a damn thing I can do about it? It is driving my nuts, will replacing the IAC "fix" the problem and how expesive is it? How hard is it to replace and where is it located? Thanks in advance fellas!

It is on your TB, I believe drivers side. Try to clean your TB before you go out and buy new sensors.

being that it only makes noise when cold this could be a tough one to find. First thing to try is to take the belt off and start the truck cold. Does it make noise? if yes then you know its not belt driven and to look else wear. if it is quite then its time to start checking every bearing on the front of that engine. had one that the tensioner bearing was going bad in and only made noise in the cold.
