Rev limiter.....
I was just wondering if some of your trucks do the same thing mine does. When I am cruising and hit the gas hard to make my truck kick down to 1st gear, it sometimes will hit the rev limiter repeatedly until I let off the gas a little and then it shifts. This only happens when I have it full throttle and don't let off. I don't do this much for obvious reasons but I noticed my dads off-road dodge would do the same thing. Both trucks would not shift out, they would just keep hitting the rev limiter until I let up on the gas a hair and then they would shift to second. Just curious. -Tyler
Mine does the same thing, for some reason Dodge doesnt want u to scatter their motors all over the freeways...lol..seriously though, I have to ease into a pass or my limiter does the same thing, so no your not alone, and the limiter will stay engaged till you back off, has ruined a couple of really sweet passes I have had to make.
Mine does it too. First time it did it I thought I had just scattered my tranny[:@]. I had the stereo jammin and foot to the floor, felt it start stuttering and losing power, backed out of it and killed the stereo to listen as I got back on the throttle, all was right in my world
.
Didn't take me long to figure out what had happened as I sell bikes for a living and most of them have one and I have made most of em kick in!!

same here.... i smash the gas and the throttle sticks at WOT b/c of the fipk cai tube is really close to the throttle cable cam and when it rotates all the way up it gets itself wedged in there and stays wide open...makes for an interesting freeway trip... but yea..mine hits the rev limit if i take it to that extreme... bikes huh? gimme a deal on a R1?
