Default Throttle body spacer

Hello everyone.
I'm sure this topic has been brought up man y times before and I'm sorry for doing it again. Just wanting to know everyone's opinions on throttle body spacers? Are they completely useless for fuel injection engines ? Has anyone had experiences with them longterm? I recently was at the scrap yard looking for a part and actually found a helix one on a motor I yanked it off and threw it in my pocket haha. It didnt set me back anything so I dont feel bad if it's useless. I slapped it on an hour ago. I got big trip this weekend so I'll see if gain any mileage or not haha
