Default Good afternoon Dodge people

I have a question, I replaced the starter in my 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9 l v8, truck started, drove it down the road, roughly a mile and engine stopped, restarted and would only run if I kept foot on accelerator? Anyone have that experience?

PCM needs to relearn idle. Cleaning the throttle body really well would be a good idea as well. Pay special attention to the IAC well. Have the battery disconnected while you clean... When it's all back together, turn the ignition on, (not start) count to ten, don't touch anything..... then start the truck. PCM should figure it out fairly quickly.

You nailed it, that's exactly what it needed. You saved me hours of troubleshooting in 95+heat on the side of the road after a long day at work, thanks so much!
