hello i'm back again lol with a different issue
i'm try ing to take out my rear seat in my truck so i can do a deep cleaning because it has years of dust and it smells pretty bad any ways
i found the 2 latches under the seat towards the front i pull those and i can feel it move the cable and the seat will raise up maybe 1-2 inches but thats as far as it will go is there another trick in getting these seats up?
i'm kinda desperate because the truck smells pretty bad an d it needs this cleaning soon

 

Should be able to lift it a full 90 degrees, just by pulling the latch. Your must be jammed up somewhere.

Mine looks like your and I am having the same problem w/ my "96". Ya I found the latch and I had 2 people trying to lift it up but It went only 2 to 3 inches. Bouncing it , slamming, nothing. I can't see it hanging up any where. If I can't get this sucker out I am going to cut it out and get another one at the junk yard. Last resort.
