Hello all,


Ive got a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 and have been searching to what this plug goes too. i thought fog lights, but they are on the left side. This plug is on the right side of the truck under the headlight area.

Grab the factory service manual for your truck from here. Wiring stuff is in section 8W, they have pics of where various connectors are, what color they are, and how many wires they should have. Likely be your best bet to identify it.

 

It's just a blank connector Dodge calls it a joint connector
Should be a cover that goes into it, my truck has the same thing and I wondered about it too. Should be one on the driver's side under the headlight to

 

Thanks y'all for the help, I did find the joint connector no. 3 in the manual. now to hunt the cover for it, will try pull a part tomorrow. this truck came with a 4th gen bumper and someone welded hand made brackets that just didn't work so ive ordered the correct ones and will have to grind out the welds. Oh so fun....

 

I have the same one. I think it's for a cold weather kit or plow or something. Never cared to look it up. There's another empty plug in the fender too.
