Default Passenger Door Switch

2001 Ram 2500 High Line CTM.

When I open the passenger door I get no done lights. The ground is good (tested) and the door switch is good. When I power the other wire it has the CTM click. Any ideas?

On the high line trim the driver and passenger side doors have separate inputs into the CTM (pin 1 and 5 on the CTM). Grounding the black/light blue wire should turn the dome light on. If that doesn't work even at the CTM it needs replacing.

That's what I thought, I know the driver's side switch works. I'll have to take another go at it

We've seen this before where the parts are essentially the same save for wire colors, just cheaper that way. It's probably changing colors at the connector C203. Did you already try to ground pin 5 at the CTM ? You can also check resistance from there to the door switch.

I attempted but didn't have the right tools. The weather is cold and my garage roof collapsed lol. I love electrical problems and am usually really good at it. I did notice this if I put power to the white wire (thought it was grounded) I hear the CTM click. I'm the manual I can't figure out how the CTM controls the dome lights I can't find an output

It's the "courtesy lamp switch output". It's not obvious though because the CTM and the interior lighting are separate sections....

If you look at 8W-45-2 the output goes to the headlight switch. The other side of the switch is C1 pin 12 and if you look at 8W-44-4 that goes to the dome light. Chrysler calls it an output but it actually provides ground for the dome light.
