Default Transmission help 46re

99 Ram 1500 5.9 46re trans.
So I drop my transmission oil pan to change the filter and the two solenoids. I found this piece laying in the pan and I cannot identify it through the drawings that I can find. It’s not broken it looks like it just fell out of somewhere.maybe a belt tensioner? Does anybody have any ideas?

Quick backstory. My transmission stop shifting and was slipping badly. But if I turn the car off and then back on it would work briefly like maybe 15 seconds I could get into gear and get it to move. And then It would just slip. Just let me to believe it was one of the valves in the transmission, or at least something electronic.

That's part of the band adjuster.

Edit: You're not the first to find it in the pan. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...trans-pan.html

Actually it's called a band anchor.
