Default 1999 3500 Lamarie dually Advise

Hi Guys,

I found a dually in my budget. It's 1999 SLT Laramie V10 8L. Color white. Auto transmission, quad cab, cloth interior. 120K miles.

The good: excellent engine and good transmission.

The bad: the front fenders are damaged near the lower part and the cab corners are perforated. I got quoted between $4 and $5 gran for a repair. There are also four holes in the bed where was the mount for a fifth wheel hitch, that are rusted and have 6 inches diameter. The outside tires in the back are cracked on the side wall, so I would need to replace at least two and they are discontinued Michelin LTX.

The guy is asking $ 6500.

Is it worth it ?

Thanks,

No. Not even if it were 4x4.

Take into consideration the cost of repairs(either doing them yourself or elsewhere) then subtract that from the price. This in not something you want to use for a daily driver but if you tow a lot possibly. Don't know what dually prices are in your neck of the woods are but might want to look around for a better one.
